SCCA Texas Region Solo November 18, 2007 at LaGrave Field, Ft. Worth, TX.

Great final SCCA event of the year!  Looks like it was also a success for Metroport Meals on Wheels.  Many, many of the folks donated $$$'s and over $1300 was raised by the best bunch of Autocrossers (or is that Soloists) in the land!  The weather was beautiful and the course was just different enough from the other LaGrave courses to be interesting.

Had a good time co-driving Andy Roadster, that is until it had a "small oiling issue" on Andy's last run in the 1st heat, I caught the run on video, including both spins, video is here.  I only got 2 runs in the Roadster before the carnage, so I ran my last 2 runs in the 3rd heat in the 'Stang.  I really didn't want to run the new street tires, but I just couldn't help myself.

There are 631 pics.  Some were from the 1st heat, most from the 2nd and 3rd.  The 1st 88 were taken with the Sony and the rest were with the Nikon.  The big memory stick for the Sony died at the last ER event, so I couldn't take as many pics as usual with it, so I brought out the Nikon.  As I've said before, the Nikon is a fantastic camera, but since all the pics have to be hand processed, it takes a lot of time.  So, after a marathon 12 hours processing the pics, they are ready.  I got some fun shots with the wide angle lens and some really cool shots experimenting with F-Stops and shutterspeeds to change the depth of field with the Nikon.

As a Happy Christmahanaquanzica, I posted the 1280X960 or 1280X856 versions of the pics instead of their usual smaller size and I left off the left and top frame of the page so that more of the pic is visible on the page, use the F11 key to toggle back and forth to/from full-screen.  Also, for $10, you can have any 10 original full-size pics from this year emailed to you, or for $20, you can have as many as you like from this year in their original full-size format.  And, for the folks that have already bought pics this year, I'll give you 10 pics of your choice on the house, just email me with the event and pic #'s you want - DennisRothermich@hotmail.com.  Take care, enjoy the pics and see you next year.
